If you're weighing up whether $149 is worth it before you commit, that's a fair question. The 28-Day Kickstarter isn't a casual gym pass. It's a structured four week program that combines unlimited coached classes with body composition scanning, nutrition guidance, weekly check ins and coach support, all inside a small gym in Wangara where Chris or Lisa are on the floor every single session. Here's what's inside, piece by piece.
Unlimited coached classes for the full 28 days
From day one, you can train as often as you like. Strength and Conditioning classes run Monday to Friday at 5:00 am, 6:00 am, 7:15 am and 9:15 am. Monday to Thursday also has afternoon sessions at 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm, and there's a Saturday 7:00 am class as well. Every class is 45 coached minutes. A coach watches your technique throughout, not from a distance, but on the floor beside you. If you're fitting training around school drop offs, shift work or a busy household, having that many time slots across the week makes a real difference. Two or three sessions a week is a great start. If you want to come more often, you can.
Two InBody 570 body composition scans
One scan happens in Week 1 and a second runs in your last week. The InBody 570 measures body composition, giving your coach concrete data to work from when setting your targets and structuring your nutrition guidance. The final week scan shows you what's shifted over the 28 days, so you finish with an actual comparison rather than a general impression. If you want additional scans beyond the two included ones, extra scans cost $35 each. One practical note: the InBody scan isn't suitable if you're pregnant or have a pacemaker or another implanted electronic device. If that applies to you, your coach can track your progress using measurements and photos instead, so nothing stops you from taking part.
Nutrition support tailored to your starting point
Personalised nutrition and recipe choices are part of the Kickstarter, and they're set up after your coach has reviewed your InBody scan results. That matters because it means the guidance is built around where you actually are, not handed to you as a generic plan before anyone has looked at your numbers. Your coach reviews your starting point first, then structures the nutrition support to suit. Weekly check ins give you the chance to talk through how things are going and adjust if needed. For anyone in Wangara or the northern suburbs who has tried following generic nutrition advice online without much success, having a coach look at your numbers before making any recommendations is a different experience.
Progress tracking, weekly check ins and education
Each week includes a check in with your coach and support between sessions when you need it. The program also includes short education pieces on training, nutrition, recovery and habits throughout the four weeks. These aren't long lectures. They're practical, designed to help you understand what you're doing and why, so what you build in 28 days is something you can carry forward. Your nutrition guidance, progress tracking and weekly check ins are all set up through the LIFT app, which is coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. When you join, the team helps you get set up with it. This structured contact with your coach throughout the month is what separates the Kickstarter from simply buying a class pass and showing up.
How the four weeks run, week by week
Week 1 is your starting point. Your first InBody scan happens here, you set your goals with your coach, and once they've reviewed your results your nutrition and recipe choices are set up. Your first coached classes run at whatever level suits you, with lower intensity options always available. Weeks 2 and 3 are your main training weeks: unlimited classes, weekly coach check ins, ongoing support and the education content running in the background. Your last week brings the second InBody 570 scan so you can see what's changed. Three days before your 28 days end, the team reminds you so you can decide what comes next. Nothing rolls over without warning.
What happens at the end of your 28 days
Unless you let LIFT know before your Kickstarter finishes, the program continues as Unlimited membership at $65 a week. You receive a reminder three days before that point, so there's no surprise charge. If Unlimited doesn't suit you at that stage, you can switch to a 10 Class Pass ($230 for 10 classes, valid 12 months from purchase) or stop altogether. There's no joining fee attached to the Kickstarter and no cancellation fee on Unlimited membership. If you later move to Unlimited and decide to cancel, 28 days' notice is all that's required. The structure gives you a clear choice at every stage, with a reminder before anything changes.
Your first session comes before any payment
The Kickstarter starts with a free session. You book a weekday Strength and Conditioning class, arrive 10 to 15 minutes early at Unit 3/7 Finlay Place, Wangara, and a coach meets you, asks about any injuries and your goals, shows you around and sets up your weights. No gym experience needed, and no payment until you've trained once and decided it feels right. If you're coming from Greenwood, Landsdale, Tapping, Madeley or anywhere else in the northern suburbs and you've been putting off starting because you're not sure what you're walking into, the free session is there specifically to answer that.
If you're ready to see how it all fits together and book your free first session, the full details are on the 28-Day Kickstarter page. Start where you are. You don't need to get fit before you start.
Frequently asked questions
Is the $149 all I pay to start, or are there extra fees?
Your first session is free and there's no joining fee, so the first payment you make is the $149 for your 28 days. The only extras that might apply during the Kickstarter are additional InBody 570 scans at $35 each, beyond the two that are already included.
Can I bring my kids while I train during the Kickstarter?
Yes. There's a fenced outdoor playground beside the gym at Finlay Place, and you can see it from the training floor. Your children stay in your care throughout the session, so you're keeping an eye on them while you train.
What if none of the class times suit my schedule?
The booking page for your free first session includes an option for when none of the listed times work, and the team will call you to find a time that does. If you're on a FIFO roster, the FIFO Membership is worth asking about: it's a separate membership option priced at $35 a week and structured to suit workers whose schedules change with each swing.
What does the nutrition support actually look like inside the program?
After your coach reviews your first InBody 570 scan results, your personalised nutrition guidance and recipe choices are set up. It's built around your starting point rather than a one size fits all plan. Weekly check ins give you the chance to talk through how it's going and adjust if needed.
Do I have to commit to Unlimited membership before I know whether I want it?
No. The Kickstarter rolls into Unlimited at $65 a week automatically unless you say otherwise before your 28 days end, but you get three days' notice before that happens. You can switch to a 10 Class Pass or stop at that point with no cancellation fee. Nothing beyond your initial 28 days is locked in without your say so.
